The National Trust for Scotland commissioned Milestone Restoration Ltd to undertake a buttressing exercise to make safe a severely leaning wall.

Along with the advice of engineers and also the input of local school children, who influenced the design to the pillar caps, Peter then carved and installed the pillars in the photographs.

Now after a few years of weathering…they look to have been in place for many years.
